BallProbes®

The Process BallProbe is the most robust TouchRaman immersion contact probe.  The 0.5” diameter Hastelloy C-276 probes features a gold compressions seal with a pressure design condition of 6,000psi allowing the probe to be used in extremely challenging chemical, pressure and temperature conditions.  The Process BallProbes are available as stand-alone immersion optics for use with compatible filtered probe heads such as the Kaiser Optical Systems MR and MKII probes.

The BioReactor BallProbe has a short focal length that measures both liquid media and solids. It has the same form factor as industry standard DO probes with a 12mm diameter and 120mm or 220mm immersion lengths.  It is manufactured using Sanitary finished 316L SS and a Pg 13.5 fitting.  The BioReactor BallProbe is autoclavable, CIP and SIP and comes with a protective stainless steel cap for sterilization.

Each BallProbe utilizes a high grade spherical sapphire lens.  The short focal length of the spherical optic allows for TouchRaman – where Users simply touch the probe to the sample – yielding highly reproducible sampling of liquids, solids, slurries, powders and heterogeneous mixtures.

Similar to the Process BallProbe, the BioReactor BallProbe can be purchased as a stand-alone product for use with existing fiber-optic Raman systems.  The utility of the BallProbes is optimized when you include the filtered fiber-optic interface, creating the Fiber BallProbe.  This is a complete sampling solution for Raman measurements
